Instructor: Roger Do

Roger T. Lee will be the course designer and principle instructor. He will be solely responsible for designing the course material and shepherding the team through the 12 weeks of work. He has been a business consultant for over 15 years and has consults for multinational corporations, government units, and nonprofits.

 

In the area of Business Planning and Business Plan Competition, he has several unique experiences. In 2005, He was one of 21 MBA student selected, among over 250 applicants, by the US Government to help the National Park Services to revamp its under performing park units in 2005 and to document their finding and solutions to the 2004 and 2005 US Congress.

 

Between 2004-2006, he led his team to place

  • 2004, 2005, Thunderbird Innovation Challenge: Ranked “Top 20 Most Innovative MBA Teams in the World” out of 321 teams among 83 universities in 18 countries.

  • 2006 Global Citizenship Challenge: Ranked “Top 6 Global Citizenship Teams in the World" out of 56 teams from more than 15 countries.

 

 

For the last two years, Roger is focused on entrepreneurship. He was the team mentor for the 2013 APEC conference in Taiwan, runs the Startup Weekend in Taiwan with his partners, translates the Pretotype book for startups, and is the managing partner for m2M, a pre-incubation acceleration mentorship.

 

He is currently mentoring the following teams:

  • Obatech, an international team tackling the problem of fake drugs in Indonesia. Just sold 14% equity to JFDI, a Singporean Incubator, to accelelrate its mark adoption.

  • Qsearch.cc, a Taiwanese team creating Google for Facebook services. Profitable after 3 month.

  • WeKeep, a Taiwanese team building a story sharing platform to preserve Taiwan Culture.

  • GoodBuy, a Taiwanese team creating a crowd-sourcing platform for product reviews.

 

Outside Readers. Through out the course, Roger will find industry relevant mentors for outstanding teams, if applicable, and give feed back on their business plans. In the final two weeks, depending on the team’s progress, a mock presentation may be arranged to help the team finalize its presentation materials.
